Mauricio Parkansky, 22, together with his brother Salo, 20, spent 2 years in France as agents of their father's company which exported first otters for hatcheries and later horses. * in 1937 - event: Argentina, Tierra del Fuego
In 1937 Mauricio and Salo, always working for their father, formed an expedition to Tierra del Fuego (about 4 monthes) to hunt sea wolves. With them they produced oil to export to USA. * occupation: Argentina, Buenos Aires City
Finally, Salo established as textile manufacturer, making first clothes and then table, bed and bath clothes. He worked in his factory till the age of 88 together with his grandchildren Ary and Marcelo when, due to the politics of the president Carlos Menem of opening indiscriminately importation killing most of argentine industry, they decided to close it. |
