Chichelnik

Chilchelnick is located in Vinnytsia Oblast (province) of Ukraine, half a day's drive from Odessa. Before the russian revolution, it was in hte Podolia Gubernia of the Russian Empire.
It was once a thriving Jewish shtetl (in 1898 there were 1,967 jewish of a population of about 7,000). There were only six Jews remaining in the town in 1991. All of them said they wanted to emigrate.
