В Одесе. Помещается в собств. здании, по Ст.-Институтской улице в д. N2 13.
Округ учрежден по ВЫСОЧАЙШЕМУ повелению 30-го июля.
1830 г., со включением в его состав учебных заведений
г. Одесы и с подчинением их Ришельевскому лицею. С ВЫСОЧАЙШАГО соизволения 6-го ноября 1830 года к округу причислена Бессарабская область. По ВЫСОЧАЙШЕМУ повелению
9-го декабря 1832 года к округу причислены губернии: Херсонская и Таврическая от Харьковскаго учебнаго округа. 30-го мая
1833 года последовало ВЫСОЧАИЩЕЕ повеление о причислении
к округу Екатеринославской губернии. Таким образом ныне
в состав Одесскаго учебнаго округа входят 4 губернии: Бессарабская, Екатеринославская, Таврическая и Херсонская.
При Управл. Окр. пед. музей и центр. библиот. открыты
10 июня 1912 г.
